Erica Bass-Flimmons, PhD
With over 20 visits to South Africa, Dr. Bass-Flimmons is an international development consultant who serves as senior Director for all projects and trips. Additionally, she serves as a tour guide. Erica conducts research in Africa as it relates to mobile health education for adults in rural settings as well as education for STEM teachers in low-resource settings. Erica serves as a STEM and mhealth international strategic partnership consultant for various non-profit organizations in South Africa and Ghana, aside from South Africa Dr. Flimmons has traveled to Ghana, Kenya, Zambia and Ethiopia.
Melissa Speight-Vaughn, PhD
Melissa Speight-Vaughn has over 10 years experience as a public school educator. She has lived in South Africa since 2016 after completing her PhD at Georgia State University’s Education Policy program. In South Africa, she conducts research as a post doctoral fellow at North West University.
Bill Bass
A retired military veteran and government employee, Bill Bass has had his share of travel experience during his tenure in the USA Navy. Additionally, he has personal travel experiences gleaning from many trips in the USA, Caribbean, Cruises, and South Africa. While enjoying the retired life, he participates in organizing the operations of projects and serves as a guide for senior citizen travel groups.
